The History of Poetry

From time immemorial, even before languages of the world owned their script and grammer,
it was happned in human life to immitate various sounds that of birds and animals and it was
possible,to name them according to their sounds, hence it was how, dog's barking, cats ,crow
and other animals and birds ' s name came into being to be accustomed to man.In every
language out of six thousand in number and about one-third of are going to be vanished
and already had lost for want of its speakers had its own folks songs which is the basis for
poetic literature through which language and literature become developed and formed its
grammer. For example, in the sub-continent of India where there are number of languages
and dialects still exist and though some of which have many thousands of speakers and
some oldest languages even ceased to exist and are being threatned to be lost.Of all the
languages of the world, there are some languages rich in literature and Grammer and had
their own poetic history. In the eldest and the oldest of all dravidian languages of southern
India,it is the Tamil Language that still in its fine and concrete form with less number of
foreign words in usage.During foreign occupation ,every language had to absorb the influence
of the rulers who happned from time to time had changed and of course ,the language of the
ruled had to even succumb the ruler's culture, religion and language and literature. This what
had happned to many not only to Indian languages but as whole to the languages of the
world. It was what latin which now regarded as dead language which possess rich literature
and language become basis for most modern european languages and likewise Sanskrit which
once the most known language of India and every other language of present India had borrowed
numer of words as well as its language and literary works had been translated as its own version
Sanskrit was the vedic language which received high regard among learned and linguistcs world
over.Even before 2000 B.C, in the akkdian language, the Man's first epic,Gilgamesh (which
meant,"The highest") was produced. From time to time different explanation and definition
has been given to poetic literature. When asked ,"What is poetry?", the simple as it is said,
"Poetry is the way it is ,because it looks that way and it looks that way because its sounds that
way and vice versa.
